Paid employment can be frustrating!

I have come to understand that your opinion at work does not always count. I have heard Senior Managers quote "Management is not a democratic System " I ponder hard on this, time and time again, I realize that these words are true.
In the olden days, Management trained the most intelligent to become Supervisors, there is a structure on how things to run, a manual instructing every reaction to each scenario. This still happens today, we have so many certifications that if you take a year vacation off, it is likely you have missed your bus.
This generation of mid management Staff are scared to lose their jobs. Their kids are in middle school, they live in a middle-class environment and still have quite a number of unfinished projects. The point they are at their career (relatively successful) they can not afford to get fired. These are Management ideal candidates because they will keep to the script.
What about you?
You are vibrant, you see all the problems, you ask yourself "Is Management Stupid? " your every move is questioned, your supervisor only sees that you are trying to make him look stupid, you are worried if you are not overdoing it, you can not share your 💠thoughts openly, you know that the volumes are leaking but your manager is busy trying to look good in Management's books. (This happens everywhere!)

My crazy sales tips advice :
- Allow your supervisor to be himself: Trying to change an adult is ridiculous. Understand the psychology of your supervisor, and manage him likewise. Accepting a person makes it easier to manage the situation. I had a Supervisor in the Brewery whom never made sense to me, he was Management's darling, but he never gave a hoot to how I felt being on his team. Naively I tried to make him see reason, unfortunately, he did not see it that way. I had to leave the job, I understand how to manage such supervisors now "it is his ship, that makes him the captain " 😀😀😀
- Your job is to execute the strategy and give feedback. Feedback is you feeding back your observation. Your turn will come to say and share everything bubbling within you, be patient.
- Treat people/your team the way you want your supervisor to treat you. I realize that this is a vicious cycle, you look like your supervisor to your team also.
- Say it and leave it on the plate. Your supervisor does not have to take your word for it, neither do you have to say the last word. Cool down, your advice will be referred to when needed, you are part of the team, not the team. Handle your emotions professionally.
- Life na turn by turn: Wait for your time.
